In collaboration with the State of Chhattisgarh, WHO Collaborating Centre for Emergency and Trauma Care (WHO CCET) and WHO India initiated the 'Champions of Change for Chhattisgarh' program, involving 41 healthcare professionals (Civil Surgeon cum Chief Hospital Superintendent, Nodal Medical Officer In-charge of Emergency Department, Staff Nurse, and Hospital Manager) from 11 district hospitals. These trained champions will serve as advocates for emergency care within their respective districts and cascade the knowledge and skills to create champions in other districts and sub-districts to enhance the overall efficiency of emergency services.
