Home Healthcare (HHC) is gaining popularity in India due to the increasing elderly population, rising prevalence of chronic conditions, changing family structures, and advancements in healthcare technology. The COVID-19 pandemic further highlighted the expanding size and scope of HHC in the country. However, our report, "Regulation of Health Care Delivery in India – A Landscape Study," that reviewed central laws regulating healthcare delivery in the country, highlighted the lack of clarity on what constitutes HHC, how it is organized and delivered and the corresponding regulatory structures. Thereby, prompting us to explore this area further. Our work is directed towards standardization and regulation of home healthcare as it becomes an integral part of India’s healthcare system.
