Ensuring access to medicines is a fundamental pillar of public health efforts in India, yet challenges persist with high out-of-pocket expenditures for medicines & inconsistent availability of medicines at government health facilities. This disproportionately affects lower-income individuals & those lacking health coverage, exacerbating morbidity, mortality, & disease burdens. Further, inadequate supply chain management and stockouts of essential medicines hinder the operational efficiency of the public health system in India. Therefore, improving access to medicines & strengthening supply chain management are integral to strengthening health systems. Through rigorous research & assessments, we are committed to utilizing data-driven insights and assisting policymakers in designing targeted interventions that facilitate access to essential medicines at the public health facilities in our intervention states.
